NORTH POND UPDATE

A huge thank you to all in our community who have donated to the North Pond Remediation Fund.

​

Together we have raised $861,472 with $700,000 earmarked for the Alum treatment and the remainder slated for watershed erosion control measures to help extend the life of the Alum treatment. The expected cost of the Alum treatment is at least $3 million.

The $2.3 million Federal Grant (Congressionally Directed Spending funds)​​
approved by the Appropriations Committee in Congress still awaits passage of the Federal budget.

        NPA has established the North Pond Remediation Fund which is being managed through 7 Lakes

Alliance in an interest-accruing account. Your donation to 7 Lakes Alliance for the benefit of the North Pond Remediation Fund is tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
